My doxy wand is stuck on

My doxy die cast wand is stuck on. It won't change power setting either. I thought there could be a button lock but can't find one if there is.

If I press the power button it seems to go a dimmer blue. If I hold it it doesnt do anything.

I'm not sure what's happened but has anyone seen this and know how to sort it?

It's the red doxy die cast (the bigger one not the small one). It has a power button, speed up and speed down. Tried the off on.

If I switch on at the mains its just going straight to whatever setting its on. Its 2.5 years old give or take.
