One side of my dildo turned yellow after using it while in the shower this morning. Never seen this happen before and now I'm worried if it's still safe to use.

I have an 8 inch realistic posable dildo with a suction cup and balls. I'm a guy so I use it anally. It's made from PVC and the skin colour is pale, bordering on a very light shade of pink. I've had it since September and have used it pretty regularly since, always making sure to clean it afterwards with warm water and soap. I like using it in the shower because I can get a bit of privacy.

Today though, after use, I noticed that part of it had turned a strange yellowish colour. I thought it might have been the light but it's definitely changed colour. Thankfully it's only in the one place but it's pretty noticeable and now I'm unsure if it's even safe to use. I make sure to clean my hole before use and use plenty of lube. Unfortunately I noticed a bit of "dirt" after riding it for a bit, so I cleaned it off, cleaned my butt again, reapplied some more lube and continued riding it.

Being in the shower though, it didn't take long for the lube to wash off. Instead of applying more lube though, I squirted shower gel down my back and let it run down over my butt. I didn't apply it directly to the dildo but it certainly made a difference. It was after dismounting it that I noticed the strange yellowish colour. I thought it might've been more excess "dirt" so I started cleaning it with soap, which I always do anyway. It didn't come off though. I spent maybe a good 10 minutes cleaning it but it just wouldn't go away. It's as though it's stained or something.

I'm thinking maybe the shower gel may have discoloured it slightly, though it's come in contact with the exact same brand of shower gel before and it's never turned yellow. The water was also very warm so I'm wondering if the heat may also have had something to do with it. It is PVC though and I've heard they're typically poor quality, so maybe it's just beginning to deteriorate. I really hope it's not toxic or some kind of chemical inside surfacing. I cleaned my butt out as soon as I was done just in case. I gave up trying to wash off the yellow colour and put it back in my sex toy bag. It's now late at night and it's still there.

Sorry for the slightly icky post but seeing my dildo change colour isn't what I wanted to happen to me today. I love my dildo, it feels great, but I'm unsure if it's even safe to put up my butt anymore or if it's maybe just a consequence of my carelessness.
