Are dildos that have a distinct top and bottom (such as with realistic toys the balls are the bottom) meant to be right side up when you are on your back or flipped over such in position for doggy?

I have recently gotten into using toys anally and have always been able to insert them most while i am on all fours so I have always put in my toys so that they a right side up. Recently it occurred to me that I might be using them wrong. Like I have a Blush Impressions N5 that has a head that's supposed to be great for prostate stimulation but i can't quite figure out how that head is supposed to be orientated to do that best
