(Disclaimer, I don’t write reviews for a living, this is just my personal experience with both toys after like half a week of owning them)

So! I was originally only going to pick up one of the two as a little Christmas gift to myself, but I decided “fuck it, it’s been a rough year, I’m getting both.” I’m no stranger to Lovense toys; I have both the Ferri and the Dolce. While the Ferri has its utility and I often use it as sort of a programmable bullet vibe, I ended up liking the Dolce a lot more after getting over the dual-sensation learning curve (the Ferri as a panty vibe doesn’t give me the pressure I need, since I typically don’t wear very tight underwear).

Anyways, they came in. I tried the Vulse first. It’s… fine? It’s a great novelty, but it’s definitely not mind-blowing. I need clitoral stimulation to finish, so I’d need to use a second toy for that. However, I did not have the problem a lot of people had with it wiggling out, so it’d be good for longer wear. Vibrations are extremely buzzy, which I’m okay with, but it’s not everyone’s thing. Eh/10.

Then the Lapis. This is GREAT stuff. Everything feels really deliberate on this toy, from the shape of the internal portion (it’s more bean-shaped compared to the dolce, which makes it easier to insert and take out IME) to the texturing on the clitoral portion. After playing around with two motors for so long, getting to customize three is fun. I can use it as a dildo on myself, or I can wear it and thrust on/in something (which is both a nice visual, and also a great workout for getting better at topping! Which is really why I bought the toy in the first place).

I do wish the third motor (the clit stimulation) was more potent, and that the dildo portion had some more “give.” It’s also pretty heavy, though I have no experience with strapless strap-ons so that may just be a common downside. I’m currently shopping around for a boxer/brief harness I can wear alongside it as extra insurance against it slipping out of me during play with someone else (if anyone has recommendations, lmk!), but if that fails I’ll just take an old pair of underwear and do it myself. This one is more of a Yeahhhh/10.

As an aside, I’m very excited that Lovense has stopped making all of their vaginal/clitoral in the same shade of hot pink. That’s a very personal gripe, but I like having sex toys in a variety of fun colors!
