Why are sex toys cheaper online than in sex shops?

I mostly buy my sex toys from amazon, but I buy my lube in person either in drugs stores or sex shops if I want them to be flavored.

And I've always found it weird that the stuff in the shops were always more expensive than the ones I buy online. Like 20 to 80 dollars more expensive. And like is that normal? Shipping is usually free when I get from amazon but even if I did pay for shipping it's still way less than what on actual shelves.

Is that normal? Or am I like buying fakes on amazon or something. I don't think they're fakes though cause like they're really high quality and last for years.
