Me and my friends were on a little vacation and the episode I want to share with you all happened in Austin, Texas. We were on a little sightseeing tour and at the same time a food tour, because we're all foodies and that's what we do no matter where we are or what time it is. And at some point during the day, we were discussing what place we should visit next and one of my friends found this honky-tonk bar. I'm a singer, so music is a big part of my life and I was naturally curious about this kind of bar. Plus it was close to where we were staying. So we went there in the evening.

The authenticity of the bar was astounding. We were in a country music heaven. It wasn't too crowded, so we were lucky I guess. We had our first round of drinks, when we were approached by an older gentleman in a cowboy hat and an incredibly large moustache. We had a nice chat with him, the guy was quite funny with lots of dad jokes. We told him we were from the UK and chatted about our vacation and so on. He gave us a bit of a historical tour of the bar, as they had a couple of rooms full of country stuff. He then ordered another round of drinks for us and left us alone for a moment, although we enjoyed his stories and dad jokes. Meanwhile, the bar was getting crowded and we decided to join the people dancing to the live music. And that's when this old cowboy approached me on the dance floor and stole me away from my friend, by non-verbally suggesting to be his dance partner. She was as surprised as I was by that move! And it was fun! The man tried to lead the way and teach me his moves and I really enjoyed it! My other two friends danced in a pair and one friend took some videos of us dancing there.

That evening was so nice that... I ended up being 'saddled up' by that cowboy... If you know what I mean...
