Last Aug, my flatmate and I hit a club in Bangalore, both of us out for a good time. After a few rounds and dancing, we each ended up meeting different girls. He took his date back to our place first, and I stayed a bit longer, eventually meeting someone myself and inviting her over for an after-party.

When we arrived, we headed to our spacious living room. It’s got a mini bar setup and a few big sofas around the room, perfect for kicking back. My friend and his girl had already been at it in the bedroom, and after they finished their first round, they joined us in the living room for more drinks. His girl brought out a couple of joints, so we smoked a bit, and the vibe got even more relaxed.

After some time, things started heating up, so we turned off the lights. My flatmate and his girl moved to one sofa in the corner of the room, while my date and I stayed on another across from them. In the pitch black, you could hear everything—the sounds of kissing, soft laughter, and eventually, moans. I couldn’t see much, but it was obvious my friend’s girl was on top of him, naked and moving in rhythm.

Meanwhile, I was getting into it with my girl, and the room was filled with that charged energy. About 20 minutes in, my girl’s phone started buzzing from a call. She reached over to grab it, accidentally turning on the light. In that sudden brightness, we saw everything: his girl naked, straddling him, my friend watching us, and all of us caught totally off guard.

We laughed it off, went to our separate rooms, and carried on with the night. By morning, no one brought it up, acting like it was just another Saturday. My flatmate is still seeing his girl, but I ended things with mine. Yet sometimes, I can’t help but remember that accidental reveal, catching a glimpse of his girl naked like that. It’s not something you forget easily.

That night was definitely one for the books.
