This was my (m32/bi-curious) first time at Klub Verboten and I was really curious how it'll be considering this was their first event in Amsterdam (outside Berlin and London). I went with my partner (w35/bi) and I should say we had a good time, although things could have been a bit different.

The event was at a venue called "the Other side" in Amsterdam which was 10 minutes by Bus from Amsterdam Centraal. Easy to find and not so far. The line was short and fast and after our tickets got scanned we had to talk to a guardian about the rules. It was a very decent and respectful conversation about what we expected from this klub night and they asked each of us to explain two of the rules which we did because it's specifically mentioned on the tickets, website, etc. However they were still guys who were arguing with the safety team about these rules .. after that they took a look at our outfits we wanted to wear inside and that was it. I should say this is way more respectable and reasonable than exclusive, sometimes rude, and vague vetting they do at some clubs such as Berlin. What are you supposed to learn when they just reject you ar berghein by saying this is not for you? So one point for Klub verboten and their team on trying to explain and educate.

After that you get a locker for 6.5 which you can use the whole night, no changing room, so you have to change somewhere at the entrance area and then you're in.

the other side venue is basically a big open space with the dj set in the middle, and they have made two play areas one to the left of the dj, and one to a small mezzanine. There was also a third play room which was out of the main hall, which we liked the best as it was more quiet, and more people playing. At some points you had to wait a bit until a spot gets empty. But we didn't like to wait, so just started playing in the middle of the room!

The crowd was a mix, most people in their twenties and thirties, and I should say rather good looking! I was surprised in a nice way about all these beautiful people in once place! A lot of people had nice outfits but there were also less experienced people who just had swimsuits on or just regular leather pants and shirts. But were there almost nudes, yes sure! :)

The play areas were clean, and enough tissues and cleaning products available. Also loads of condoms. All good. There was also at least one member of the safety team available at all time. There were different kinds of play going on, but it was mostly couples. Some threesome's and two orgies, but honestly I thought or excepted to be a bit more wild, why? I don't know, cus it's kinda lame to just do your normal heterosexual action with your own partner but just in public? Like where's the kinkiness or adventurous spirit of it? Maybe more experienced members can say how is it in other clubs or situations, but we expected to be involved with more group actions, and somehow it didn't seem like the proper setting for it. Maybe also all the strict rules surrounding the night made everyone to be busy with their own people rather than mingling? I'm not sure.

Anyways, based in what I saw in the play areas, it was also more straight oor straight looking actions going on. So as they say, it's gay friendly, but maybe 10%o the whole visitors? Not that the number matters, but yeah, not so many gay actions going on.

The main dance hall was half full till the end. From the beginning it was kinda clear that the dance floor won't be full enough and that kinda effected the whole event I think. The music was not so promising (besides the last dj) and the lighting also didn't help to create a cosier vibes. Untill 2:00 only one bathroom was open and that meant long waiting time or you had to go out to the outside toilets, which I didn't enjoy being half naked in a cold Amsterdam night!

All in all we had fun, we ended up having sex in multiple play areas and watched a lot of what was happening around us as well. There were many hot people in these spaces and it was nice to be next to each other and have sex in such an open way, I just wish there more eye contacts and more connections! But maybe that's me! One of the main rules of the klub, do not interrupt play!

Anyways, good job to Klub verboten team for providing such a safe and standard sex positive atmosphere, but I'm sure there's more to do to make it even better.
