One thing that I think gets overlooked in the larger Incel/Pickup movement is how toxic and harmful it is to it’s own members.
At the core of the ideology is the belief of manipulating Women into having sex and relationships with you, but by doing so the Men involved are putting themselves into loveless, disconnected relationships with people that they don’t trust, and who have legitimate reason not to trust them.
The Men involved aren’t exactly good for each other either. Newcomers are lonely and desperate for validation, yet it’s common to see Incels bullying each other for dominance, and using their positions of power to pressure each other into scams and abusive friendships.
So when you actually ‘score’ you’ve numbed yourself to everything that makes sex and relationships beautiful. It’s just to prove yourself to a friend group that doesn’t care at all for you.
So, if you meet someone who fell into this pit, how would you give them a wake-up call?
If you want absolutely no contact w/ one, that’s valid AF. If one makes advances or threats, you’re well within your rights to leave. We can’t change everyone’s mind. However, it’s worth noting that the more people leave, the weaker the sphere gets. It’s at least worth trying to get people out.
