The assumption of god forms is simply a way of connecting astrally with the forms of the gods so that you can represent them in various cere- monial contexts. While this technique is basically just a form of active imagination, it can have a powerful magical and psychological effect on consciousness. It can be used effectively with any pantheon of gods- Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Celtic, or Hindu. You can also use a modification of this simple technique to con- nect directly with the archetypal energies of the gods to develop new abilities or personality traits in yourself. Combined with the sexual techniques given later in this book, this can have an incredible trans- formative power. Before you begin, familiarize yourself with the characteristics and common physical images of the god with whom you choose to work. The Internet can be an excellent resource for this type of research. Know the form of your god very well, so that you can imagine it as vividly as possible. Crowley suggests that you paint or draw the god so that you are connected with it as deeply as possible.

Bonus Notes ♥️Assuming the God Form♥️ 1. In a magical trance, and probably after conducting somepreliminary rituals, begin to visualize the distinctive form of the god you have chosen. See this form glowing intensely with an appropriately colored energy. 2. Move into the same position as the god. Imitate the way you seethe god standing, sitting, or moving. 3. Imagine the form of the god moving into and encompassing your form. 4. See and feel yourself and the god integrating into one form.Allow yourself to grow in stature to fill up the universe in the form of this god. Experience the universe as this god would.Become the god as much as possible. 5. Conduct whatever magick you choose in the form of this god. 6. When you are finished with your ritual, separate from the god and thank it for sharing its being with you. Record your experiences in your journal.
