it was written by three different sets of writers. The first 4 episodes were very poor quality compared to S1, super rushed and everything felt very surface-level and "cheap". Episodes 5-8 were pretty good, especially episode 6 written by Mindy (coincidentally 1x06 was also my fav episode of the first season). The last two episodes were all over the place, especially the finale which had most of the characters act so *out* of character.

A few examples are:

• Andrew - His character was kinda all over the place this season, going from being extremely rude and unlikeable to confident and likeable, then socially awkward and unaware in the last two episodes
• Tatum - kind of a complete 180 within 1-2 episodes, or as many others on this sub have mentioned basically "character assassination" as a plot device to get Leighton and Alicia back together
• Leighton's mom - another complete 180 from the previous season. Don't get how she suddenly went from being the way she was in S1 to super supportive and understanding in the finale.
• Leighton herself - love her storyline this season but going from end of S1 to where she is now so quickly just feels very rushed.
• Eric & the midwestern guy completely disappearing from the show with basically no resolution or closure after they broke up with Bela/Kim. I hope Eric comes back in S3.

Also, possibly unpopular opinion - I love Kimberly and Canaan as friends and but still don't buy the romantic connection. Also hate the random love triangle with Whitney - honestly Whit/Cannan was probably the couple with the least chemistry in the entire show to me.

Here's hoping season 3 is more consistent but with the plot lines being set up and thrown out after S2, I don't have much faith :/ Just bad decisions all around in the past 10 episodes.
