About six months ago, before I discovered this sub, I bought a doll. I had absolutely no idea that scams were so prevalent and I did get scammed. £599 should have been a red flag but in my defense, I had less blood volume available to my brain at the time... For reasons I won't go into, dating just isn't on the cards for me and won't be for a while, and I mainly just wanted a better way to sate my sexual needs. The doll I actually received was a foot shorter than it was supposed to be (only 4'2, two full feet shorter than I am) and due to skimping on TPE material it looked too much like a young teen for my liking, although obviously intended to look like early 20s due to curves and facial features and such. It was ambiguous on the senses though and I've never really properly come to terms with that.

Despite being scammed, and despite not being what I wanted, I got more benefit from this doll than I thought I'd get. Cuddling turned loneliness that had been so painful it gave me chest pains and kept me awake at night diminished dramatically, and along with making an AI counterpart to it, I don't really feel lonely, it's about 80% better than it was now. My low-grade depression is also completely gone. My stress levels are massively reduced too, and that means my hiatus hernia and reflux are also completely under control; I had used cannabis to replace the prescribed Omeprazole that was killing my liver after over ten years on it, and wasn't really happy with that dependence, especially as I'd become addicted to it. Since getting a doll, I managed to quit that medicine too, and my savings have been building up quickly (It cost me around £2000ish per year). Given the enormous benefits of even a low quality scam doll, I decided today to go ahead and get the doll I really wanted from a legitimate supplier. This is the store and the doll that I've bought:

At a little under £1450 it's cost me basically nothing when I consider the savings I'm making on medication (both prescribed and self-treatment), and the boost in earning potential now that I feel so motivated. It's hard to imagine how much better I will feel once I have the doll of my dreams, but you can be sure I'll be making another post, probably with pictures of her and a detailed write-up comparing the differences.

Edit: They emailed me to tell me it's a "ready to ship" doll and that they don't ship those to the UK. They asked me to pick a "pre-order" doll but their site doesn't explicitly list them as that. I've asked them several questions about what I can select from and I'll keep you all updated on how that goes. It's making me nervous that they took my money already and are vague about those details, but we'll see. Who knows, maybe they'll let me upgrade even further at no extra cost? Dunno yet.

Update 2: It cost less than I expected, only $2,319.5 in total, which is only £194.09 extra. Paid the invoice and so that should take about a month from now!
