Due to some help from my therapist I found an SLAA meeting near me but I’m really apprehensive to go. I know that I need it and to feel less alone. I want to hear the stories from others and how their lives have been affected on a personal level but my social anxiety is scaring me away. I feel like I’ll walk in and all eyes will be on me. I’m 19 and feel that many of the people there will be older and convinced that my sex/porn/masturbation addiction are just a part of “being young.” Anybody have advice on what they think/know I’ll be walking into? I’ve never been apart of a self-improvement group before so I just picture it like being AA on tv with a bunch of people in a circle. Am I wrong?
