Seam Ripper Tearing Fabric
Post Body

Hi there! I'm super new to sewing (like first day new) and wanted to start where everyone recommends and make a pillow case. While making it I messed up my seam and tried seam ripping it but I keep catching the fabric even when I'm going super slow and careful. I looked up videos on YouTube to see if I'm messing up somewhere obvious but it looks like everyone is doing the same thing as me with no issues. Does anyone have advice that may help me fix what I'm doing wrong?

Also I can't even fit the ripper into the back stitch so that area just keeps getting torn.
