Cobel tells Mark’s sister that her husband died and she “sees him everywhere”, and she asks the sister if “mark sees his wife everywhere”. She also said the husband built a house for the two of them in “the next world” and will let her live in it until they are reunited again.

I think Cobel somehow got ahold of Gemma’s body and reanimated her with a completely new totally artificial personality. It was loaded into her body with the prototype software of a new type of chip. I think Cobel plans to do the same for her ex husband. And her living in the Lumon subsidized housing community is the “house” that her husband built for her to wait in until they see each other again.

I think we will find out that some innies don’t have an outie at all, and that their personalities are 100% artificial and were engineered by Lumon in order for them to completely embody Kier’s 9 core principles. This will effectively help them achieve 100% free labor, since they would no longer need to pay/provide benefits for an actual person like they’re currently doing under the severance model of their business.

I think the “testing room” will play a big part next season. It’s possible that everyone has a third sever, and there’s another innie that activates when they go down into the testing room.
