It has been too long since I have visited Broad Arch. Were times better, I would not hesitate to stop by, if only to meet you formally, as Lord of Broad Arch. I regret the passing of your father, and offer my belated condolences along with this letter.

However, it is in these pressed times that we must continue thinking for the future. I wish to offer the hand of my daughter, Daena Morrigen, to your eldest son, Colm. I believe he is a little older, as Daena is now 12. After a handful of years in betrothal, a wedding could be held. While she is only on the edge of womanhood, Daena is a beautiful and virtuous young lady.

If you wish, I could sent her to visit Broad Arch in my stead. I believe such a journey does wonders for a youth's growth, and it may help you decide, should you hold doubts.
