Quentyn had long dreaded this day. In truth, he had not planned well for his family's future. Now, however, he had to being doing just that. The sickness had devastated the Tarths, and new branches must be put on the tree, lest it fail.

To Ryamsport in the Arbor:

Lord Redwyne,

I am Lord Quentyn Tarth, the Evenstar and the personal representative of the House Baratheon to the court of the king. I write to you to propose a match between our two houses. My daughter Brienne would be a fine match for you grandson Landon. Our two houses, though on opposite coasts, would do well to sail uncertain seas together. I await your thoughts on this proposal.

Lord Quentyn Tarth, the Evenstar, Lord of Tarth, Voice of the Storm

To Bronzegate:

Lord Ralph,

Our houses have long been neighbors along the Straights of Tarth, and I hope that we can strengthen the bond between our two houses. Your daughter Cyrenna would be a good match for my brother Johnath. He has long served as castellan of Evenfall Hall, and the recent sickness has nearly wiped out my house. He is a fair bit older, but I think they would be well suited.
