The Winter had come and gone multiple times in the past months. Some days the snows would come and stay for weeks, others it would come and melt as it hit the ground, turning the roads into mush. Coldight Keep had stayed much the same despite the weather although life had become a dull affair.  Days dragged on endlessly and conversations died out quickly after news became so slow with few people traveling through to King's Landing or to Wendwater Town.

As the days drifted on, Kerena found herself thinking endlessly about the night of drinking she had done with Jason Massey. She'd thought of it so much that she found herself questioning if certain details had actually happened and with no one to share the tale with her excitement was internalized. She longed to see the handsome man again though perhaps on her own ground this time. So she found an excuse to bring him here.

Ser Andrew Faine had loved the idea. A feast at his home, to flaunt his daughter like a trophy before the Masseys, to show them his keep, his people! He cursed himself for not having thought of the idea himself and had the letter written up immediatly to invite his liege. Later that night Ser Andrew's courier had readied his saddle and provisions, and Kerena exited the warmth of the keep to hand him the letter her father had penned.

"My lady." The courier bowed his head. He was a young lad, with shaggy red hair and a skinny body and face.

"Ser." Kerena curtsied to the man. "I've penned the letter a dozen times over for my father. Be certain not to lose it." She offered a warming smile to the young man.

"I'll be sure not to my lady, but I am no knight." The redhead shivered in the cold. The night would be long and harsh, but his duty was too important not to leave now. And riding was his passion, only made more fun in the terrifying winter.

"I know Luca, but you have served my family better than some of the actually knights who share my father's company."

"My lady I-" Luca waved his hands defensively, not wanting to be caught in the middle of this conversation.

"In fact, perhaps I'll ask my father to knight you for your service. You've been so good to us."

I- my lady please that is far too much of an honor for- you needn't." He became frantic, bowing his head to the pretty girl.

"You are honorable beyond measure Luca." Kerena Drew a step nearer to him, looking at him with soft green eyes. "I'll ask him about it and take no more conversation about you being dishonorable or else."

"I- wha- of course my lady. You are too kind." Luca felt trapped and bowed deeper. "I would be in your debt for doing so though, and I have little to offer."

"I want nothing but your services. You can raise your head Luca, no need to be silly."

He did so, and a blush came over his face. One that wasn't from the cold. "What can I do?"

"Take this." With small hands she handed the courier another peice of parchment. "At Stonedance you must give it to Jason Massey in private."

After says on the road, a tired looking and familiar head of red hair came up to the gates of Stonedance. The typical courier from Coldlight announced his presence. "My lords, I bring a letter from Coldlight. And would request a-" He fell into a mad cough that racked his lungs with pain. "An audience with Lord Massey if he would hon-" Another small fit of coughs. The man seemed to steel himself against it though. "Honor me so."
