I have a pair of regulars, a mother and daughter. The daughter who’s probably 10 or 11 years old always has a book with her. She gets so excited to show me what new book she’s reading and we talk about the characters and plot lines. I always have a book stashed in the back for downtimes and bring it out to show her when she’s there. During our most recent encounter I had the Tom Felton autobiography which contains multiple pages of behind the scenes pictures of when he was filming the Harry Potter series. She absolutely loved it! I know our job isn’t all that glamorous but little things like that make it all the worth while.
