They claim to have gluten sensitivities or be allergic. You tell them their options and that won’t cut it so they ask what can be modified to be gluten-free so you run back and ask your chef. You come back to the table and give them more options. After 15 minutes of playing this game they proceed to order a breakfast plate that has a biscuit and she ate her brothers French fries.... so much for that gluten sensitivity.
Edit: I didn’t think I’d have to make this edit but I have to clarify: yes I know French fries don’t typically have gluten in them. HOWEVER our fryer is used for a whole bunch of stuff that does have gluten in it and so to avoid cross contamination entirely and fully accommodate to someone with siliacs. Furthermore 2 of our 3 fries have a special seasoning that does include gluten so those are out of the question.
