we were in the middle of a lunch rush when a guy came in (super weird vibes, checking out and talking to every woman that walked by) and he said he was looking for a job. i told him to apply on indeed and my managers would reach out if they’re interested. he said he had a resume with him and wanted to speak to a manager.
i ran to the back and asked the GM if he’d be willing to talk to a potential new-hire. he said ‘tell him to leave his resume, i’m very busy’ so i ran back to the front to relay the information.
the dude literally pointed to our other manager and said, ‘who is she? is she a manager?’ i said ‘yes but she’s very busy’. he proceeded to sit down in the lobby, said he had all day and would wait.
i finally convinced my other manager to come talk to the guy because he literally wouldn’t leave. my manager said, ‘didn’t my host tell u we’re very busy at the moment?’ (shout out to her for standing up for me)
my question is- in what world would that get u a job? it just shows u can’t follow simple instructions. if the managers are upset they have to talk to u, they’re not going to offer u a job!!
