As a former server I completely sympathize. Onetime, well after I’d been used to this shit, I was trying out a server position at a brand new restaurant. On a soft opening a man I knew and was a local business owner (food and bev) reached out while I was speaking taking their order and he grabbed me by the hip/butt. I quit. I didn’t feel safe telling the staff. I felt like I couldn’t say anything at the table, so I quit. Much later I was working at a kennel and dog/house sitting in the neighborhood and visited a new couple in the area. He was a dick to his wife and dogs.. I won’t even bother to elaborate. He’s showing me around and asks me to the thermostat. He reached out and touched me which I knew was going to happen as I walked up, but didn’t feel like I could politely stop this from happening. It pissed me off once I got some distance, and I would later ‘dump’ them as clients. Another time during a home visit with clients a man sexually harassed my husband and we were so shocked in the moment we let it slide. As soon as we walked in the door his dog was barking incessantly and he like… hugged my husband and continued to run his back all over creepily. I thought that shit would end with my serving career, though since then I’ve become good at being a bitch respectfully. I’m sorry this happens. Don’t let the bastards get you down.
