My restaurant switched paydays with no notice
Post Body

So normally today is payday and even tho I hate getting paid my tips on check I’ve gotten used to it.

Every other Thursday like clockwork my check hits my account between 4 and 4:30 pm but not today and I have some autopay bills that come out of my account.

First thing I did: call the bank maybe there’s some kind of mix up or something only to find out the deposit hasn’t even been processed.

Second thing: called my GM only to find out that the company is switching up the days we get paid. I wouldn’t be upset if I’d have know ahead of time so I can plan accordingly but no they just didn’t say anything. No message in hotschedules no email , no communication from the mangers or higher ups.

I feel like the least they could’ve done was let the staff know. My boss literally told me he didn’t know either but I’m not sure I 100% believe.

I’m pretty mad and headed to my job as I write this. I don’t feel like I’m overreacting because changes like this should be made know before the day we’re supposed to get paid.

Am I overreacting?
