I've been DJing for a while, mainly scratching and playing beats for rappers, but I want to start doing some sets on my own (jungle/breakcore) and I need to upgrade my setup for that.
I'm currently playing with a Numark Scratch, a Reloop RP7000 with DVS and an akai mpd218 mapped with some funciona for the second deck. My idea is to keep the Numark Scratch as my mixer and the rp7000 for one deck so I can do some turntablism junk and switch the mpd218 for something with more functions and preferably serato plug-and-play.
The thing is I dont find anything that convinces me. All the CDJs seems like overkill for me, too expensive when I'll be using a computer anyways. Behringer cmd-pl1 has many bad reviews. Akai afx is discontinued. Reloop Neon seems like a cool gadget, but I dont think it would give me full control of the deck.
Am I missing something? It's a terrible idea? Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
