Can’t figure out edit grid in Serato

Does anyone have a good tutorial for how to edit the beat grid in Serato? The manual doesn’t really explain anything.

I have track that’s off and I don’t understand the difference between “adjust” and “slip.” If I just set markers it’s fine. But this song immediately goes out of time again and it’s really time consuming to set markers on every beat of a 5 minute long song.

Alternately if I use “adjust” or “slip” as I move forward everythjng Ive done previously starts to move and get messed up as well.
