Hi all,
I work in radio and do IT as well. I have a number of mixers on my staff and I often help them move Serato to new machines and sometimes across platforms.
I had a guy bring me what I'd consider an underpowered machine and told me his library was blank.
Everytime I try to relocate his files, it runs fine a while, then just dies.
Is it the nested folders? The sheer amount of music?
It's an SSD, so he has that going for him, but even when I don't do the root music folder and try to do them one by one, it will eventually crash/become non responsive.
Any thoughts? I know he needs a new machine, but he unfortunately paid a third party to put a new SSD in this one to keep it going.
Thanks in advance.
