Question about updating to Serato 3 right before a gig

Hi,

I have version 2.6 and there is a bug that is causing problems. I have a gig on Saturday and am worried about updating so close to a show.

Is Version 3 substantially different such that it will be difficult for me to get used to it by Saturday?
To upgrade, I need to go into the existing version, rename that to save it in case there’s an issue, then upgrade to version 3. If version 3 is a problem, I would un-install it, then click on the older version file to use it instead (I’m on windows). Is this the best way to do it?
