Serato pro connection issue.

Hi,

I played a gig today with another person’s controller, which was a Pioneer Rev 1. I normally use a Pioneer DDJ SX3.

When I plugged in, my laptop would not connect to the controller. A pop up kept coming up asking me to trial Serato Pro. Even though I already had Serato Pro and was logged in.

I clicked on the free trial button and everything started working. It didn’t ask for a credit card or anything…..just clicked through and started working.

Anyone know why, what the fix is/how to avoid this in the future?
