I’m on day 4 post septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I’m getting the stents removed in 4 days, and am quite literally counting down the hours until my appointment. Recovery has been pretty normal, and I knew I wouldn’t be sleeping very much, but I still wasn’t truly prepared for how it’d feel. I don’t remember what life was like before going through the 5 stages of grief every night while trying to fall asleep 🤣
Ah fuck, I’m so sorry to hear that 😔😔 I hope things turn around for you soon!!
Omg I feel you. The first morning I got out of bed I was getting so hot and almost started hyperventilating because I’m not used to just breathing out of my mouth 😫
Oh my god, I feel you so much. The sitting in silence in the middle of the night is so rough. I tried taking a night time decongestant/cold pill one night and a muscle relaxant (I pulled a muscle in my neck from being so sedentary lol) on another, and they both just made me drowsy without helping me sleep. You might be better off avoiding alcohol and cannabis.
How much longer until your stents come out? I got mine out this morning (🥲), and the first thing I did when I got home was sleep for 4 hours 🤣
