Had septo/turbinate reduction 6 days ago. No splints, no painkillers needed. Went in yesterday for the follow up which was just a basic clean out. Had a badly deviated septum which has lead to TERRIBLE sleeping. Constantly waking up to pee… which I think has also caused terrible nutrient absorption/lingering gut problems…. Poor sleep = poor healing. These things are absolutely connected.
So now my airways feel MUCH more open. Although I definitely feel the crusty stuff up there which you need to be patient with. Do the saline rinses, take a steamy shower & they’ll loosen up. I can already feel a massive improvement in airflow…
Highly, HIGHLY suggest this procedure (with a well reviewed ENT) if you’re able. It could very well be the missing piece to unlock the quality of life you’ve been missing out on.
Any questions please don’t hesitate. I am happy to help anyone with any concerns as best I can.
