So about a year ago i had a Septoplasty and Turbinate reduction and i've hated ever since.
recovery was AWFUL i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. i went through $150 worth of gauze. i had dollar coin size clots coming out of my nose every hour (don't worry i was bothering my doctor with my concerns.) and being suddenly aware of your nostril track is the most overstimulating thing i've ever experiences. i think i slept almost the entire first main week of recovery.
the boogers after were gross. and i don't know if its because i'm allergic to all animals, trees, and grasses but the boogers i get are still pretty narly. nothing like the monsters you get in the first two months. i do spend about 10 minutes in the morning just clearing my face of snot. and have to blow my nose a bunch throughout the day.
i have an appointment to check my nose out for a year check up so we'll see what's going on. but please someone else tell me you didn't have a fun time.
This is crazy, I didn’t even use one piece of gauze. NO ONE should be getting turbinate reductions, the ENS symptoms are not worth it and no doctor should be performing it in my opinion. My turbinates were massive and I was benefitted from septoplasty only and the recovery was way easier than I thought
