Bad taste in mouth

Had my septoplasty 6 days ago. Since then, my mouth is dry all the time and has a weird bitter taste to it. I wake up super dehydrated and it feels like my lips are dried and stuck to my teeth and the bad taste is awful. Nothing I can eat or drink takes the taste away and neither gum nor mints help. How long did this last for you and were there any things that worked for you.
