(Background) My wife and I are both 50 years old and been married for over 30 years. We made a lot of sacrifices and stayed together due to our children. Well, our children are adults now and we are currently separated.
(Question) As we navigate this new road, a question was brought up. Is it easier and more economical to stay separated than getting a divorce? (Neither of us is planning on getting married again.) We have retirement accounts, mortgage, and little debt. We reside in Texas, and we donβt want to sell our properties and destabilize our finances.
Need advice, Thank you.
