I have binge eating disorder but alternate between periods of binging and restricting. My weight goes up and down a lot because of this. I also have very generalized anxiety and it often makes me lose my appetite and I struggle to eat for days at a time. And I have a severe phobia of vomiting.

I’m currently around 315lbs and my doctor is pressuring me to lose weight. They keep mentioning Semaglutide and are just really pressuring me to try it, but I’m really concerned that it will wreak havoc on my mental health. Not only because I might fall back into restrictive habits, but vomiting, diarrhea, etc. causes me to have horrible anxiety and panic attacks.

I feel like semaglutide wouldn’t be a good thing for me, at least right now, but I don’t know. Anyone here have experience taking this drug when you have an ED or emetophobia? I feel like my doctor is totally ignoring my concerns and I’m not sure what to do.
