I’m in the UK and this spring I’m replacing my inherited and falling-down shed with a big new wooden one. I’m considering what food I can store in a shed, which will help me decide what I plant this year.
My intention is to section off part of the shed and insulate it well before building shelves with crates. I also want to add a window that will eventually automatically open when it gets too warm.
I know I can store apples, but what else will store well in a shed with its associated temperature fluctuations?
I can’t build a root cellar in my garden, so I plan for this to be my main storage area for food, other than my small kitchen.
