I don't mind going to a piercer yet I'm considering piercing my lobes myself too. Piercings are simple especially lobes and sometimes it doesn't make sense to pay so much for a pair of lobes I can do myself. Seeing so many people say they did it themselves makes me wonder if I should just do it.
My questions are:
- How do you pick the right placement that will look great later on?
I went to a professional piercer and I okayed the placement but also trusted it since their the best with 20 years of experience but now I can see on one ear it goes upwards and on the other ear it goes more to the side of the 1st piercing and if I wear earrings on both my lobe piercings sometimes it crushes together. I thought of measuring it or something.
- I prefer a needle but how do I even hold and push it with a needle?
That seems like it may be tough on myself. I can totally handle it when someone does it on me. A gun sounds easier but I don't know if they're any with needles.
Isn't it harder doing it yourself because you have to be looking in the mirror while feeling it?
What is your sterilization method and remind me the size jewelry for lobes?
