Stupid question but do navel piercings hurt?

I’ve heard some people say it knocked the wind out of them or made them nauseous. Usually when I pierce myself I do it slowly, but on my stomach this hurt too bad so if I want it I have to do it fast 😠I’m just worried it’ll be super painful since usually I can do the piercing slowly and there’s no unexpected pain
