Is it too late to say this Sekiro the easiest Fromsoft game for me?

At least imo. When I first played it it wrecked me and I quit it before finishing bc I had only played Bloodborne once before it and didn't really get the Fromsoft formula. After becoming a Soulsborne vet, I've come back to Sekiro and find it so much easier than the other Fromsoft games.

Especially with boss fights. I think the difference is that even when I learn the mechanics of Soulsborne bosses they can still destroy me. Once I learn the mechanics of a Sekiro boss it's pretty simple to deflect and dodge. I find I often beat bosses without even using a ressurection.

The infinite stamina and more forgiving blocking is what I believe does it for me. In Soulsborne you always have to keep that in mind, and that's often what gets me is even if I dodge correctly I could be out of stamina. In Sekiro I can go in full aggressive and constantly attack, dodge, and counter.

Especially that blocking in Sekiro is also offensive reducing the enemy poise, in Soulsborne unless you get the parrying down perfectly, you're weakened or hurt by it. I think the limitation of Sekiro makes it easier, each boss has a very specific way to kill them and once you know it you just have to do it.

There's also the verticality and stealth, taking out mobs with Wolf is a lot easier esp bc he's so strong and fast. I can usually wipe out an area on my first or second try bc even when you're being overwhelmed it's easy to escape and then stealth kill.

This is ignoring level grinding, since that's often why people say Soulsborne is easier. Just playing the game straight through I find Sekiro the easiest. Easier than my second playthroughs of BB and DS3, those bosses can still be a headache.

Still a hard game, don't get me wrong. And I love the game, it's a lot of fun and killing bosses is very cathartic. But it seems once you learn the mechanics it all becomes consistent and simpler while Soulsborne knowing the mechanics doesn't mean you'll do that well.
