Slight criticism for NG+

Having spent a number of hours trying to beat the Sword Saint for the true ending I was eager to jump into NG and finish getting the prayer beads to max out my vitality and get the purification ending.

I noticed something that I think can be tweak a little bit in each iteration of NG. I think that NG punishes too much for miss timing deflect in NG . I think it should increase the damage of mistiming the deflect but not for correctly timed deflects.

I will give an example of what I'm talking about.

I was fighting the centipede guy in the sunken valley. I nearly correctly deflected (higher pitched ringing noise) his flurry of attacks. My posture was nearly maxed and because I mistimed one hit and he killed me.

I think what would have been a better approach was to ratchet up the amount of posture damage done per mistimed deflect for every iteration of NG . That way when you are at NG 6 or 7 (whatever one is the highest) you be punished for not perfect delfecting.

Maybe my criticism is misplaced. Thoughts?
