Extremely special buy- split the cost with my mom so it’s half a gift and half spending my own money on a proper mechanical watch for the first time

As an architect I always eyed the alpinist. Something about the design language just screamed architectural design for me. I was going either for the mountain sunset color (SPB201) but I saw this SPB119 that had a unique discoloration to it that helped with my decision:

The color of the north arrow was discolored to a much lighter orange color instead of the intended red, but it’s all the more why I love and chose this specific piece because orange is my favorite color
