My girlfriend (f25) and I (M28) are planning on staying soon! We've both talked about wanting to play with others for a long time and have fantasized about dipping into the LS for a while. Wanting to ease into it we've thought about going for the first time expecting nothing more than playing with each other in the environment. However, we've both fantasized and agreed we'd love to add a third, a girl to play with together if we meet someone we like. Our question is, what's the experience like here for a couple looking for a single woman to play with? Are single woman a common occurrence here? Is it rude to only want half of a couple if there's interest? Excited to have fun! But we want to make sure we navigate things right and don't offend anyone in doing so. Thanks to anyone's input or advice!
Trying to seperate a female from couple is called wife poaching. It’s one of the fastest ways to piss off most experienced LS couples.
I would take it as a huge disrespect to my hubs (and me) for someone to come out and ask for that.
Welcome to the lifestyle! It sounds like you’re easing in with a healthy approach, focusing on each other first, which is a great way to start!
To answer your question, finding a single woman (or ‘unicorn’) can be a bit like searching for a rare gem—possible, but it might take some patience. Single women do attend, but it’s good to keep in mind that many are looking for their own connections too, not just to jump in with couples. When you meet someone who clicks with both of you, it can be magical, but it’s important to respect their boundaries and interests as well.
As for your concern about only being interested in one part of a couple—there’s nothing inherently rude about that. Everyone has their preferences, and it’s all about being upfront and kind. If you meet a couple and aren’t feeling a full swap, just politely let them know you’re focused on exploring with a single female for now. Most people in the community will appreciate the honesty—it’s a no-pressure environment where clear communication is key.
The best advice we can offer is to stay relaxed, go with the flow, and enjoy each other’s company first and foremost. If something extra happens, great! If not, you’ll still have fun together and learn a lot along the way. And who knows—you might even find that perfect connection when you least expect it.
Good luck and have fun!
