I’ve just seen too many here talk about “sebopsoriasis” without understanding the context. Seb Derm, psiriasis (plaque type) and certain forms of eczema all look 100% identical quite often even to dermatologists. Frustratingly, biopsy typically has a hard time distinguishing these conditions apart as well because the findings are non specific inflammation that overlaps.
No study has ever indicated someone with eczema or seb derm is more likely to get psiriasis. None. 1/20 have seb derm, 1/50 gets psiriasis. The odds of having both is 1/1,000. Not super rare but not common. Often “sebopsoriasis” is the diagnosis when they can’t distinguish the condition, however most admit it’s likely one of the other. (Although eczema increases the odds of seb Derm)
I just wanted to be sure people understood that. If you’re unsure get a second opinion but please understand that even dermatologists admit these conditions are very hard to tell apart very often, even from biopsy.
