I am starting a small cafe with customer seating and will be serving local espresso drinks, homemade baked goods, primarily the morning/late afternoon crowd. It will probably be on the pricier side, but not really for Seattle. $13-15$ a plate? Everything will be on the healthy side. Maybe serve a small local wine happy hour. Saying all that the menu will need to be smaller because at first I wont be able to afford a very large staff so it'll be me working with 2 or 3 other people. Small menus are fine as long as each item is on-point. It will have a soft femminine vibe because... well I am pretty feminine and thats just how I want it.
Anyways, I wont bore you with all the details, BUT... where?!
Downtown? a store front???!!
greenlake? so much competition.... not competition with other cafes but in negotiating leases/$/other interested tenants.
SLU? Amazon
Cap Hill? is already downhill and is the 'has been neighborhood'
Madison park? rich (like very rich) house wives
Ballard? where millennial hipsters go to die
I know all the areas so if anyone could let me know which areas in seattle YOU Think will be a successful location for a cafe like this let me know!
yeah ive thought about queen anne a bit. there or madison park are potentially solid spots.
Unfortunately I don't think Lake city would like me.
