Do you have any favorite places to go for a little snack? Restaurants don't count... My two favorites are 1) the metal shack in the parking lot of MacPherson's Produce (1500 15th Ave South, which is north Beacon Hill), where you can get a Mexican-style street snack - roasted corn cob on a stick, slathered with your choice of mayo, buttery spread, parmesan and/or hot spice... 2) a cart in front of the main entrance to Uwajimaya in the ID, where you can get hot roasted peanuts (meh) or a little bag of hot roasted chestnuts (num!) - they have a new crop of chestnuts right now and they are nice and sweet.
