Downtown’s 2nd and 3rd Avenues are more walkable now !!
Post Body

Not sure if it’s the effect of public illegal drug consumption law or the Mayor’s efforts, 2nd / 3rd avenues have been getting better.

I saw a bunch of downtown ambassadors stopping people from sleeping around building entrances/exits. And also, the number of homeless people on the streets have reduced.

I actually could take a D line at night. Previously, 3rd ave would be super sketchy at night that I’d always have to opt-out for Uber.

The transit security has been getting better as well and with that, buses have been a bit more cleaner than before. Looking forward to fare enforcement improvements.

Thanks to whomever contributed to this effort.

I moved to this city for walkable downtowns and good public transport. The last three years - we have kinda lost that. Happy to see it return back to some semblance of its old self. (Yes, I’m selfish on this part).

Let’s continue improving this further. Downtown needs to be a 15-minute city with good public transport.
