I want to take an out of town friend to the Argosy Christmas boats this year, and we are debating between the Friday night show at Magnussen Park and the Saturday night show at Gas Works Park. I've been to the Gas Works one before and it's a lot of fun with what I assume is the Lake Union boating community.
My question is this--what is the difference between the Magnussen/Lake Washington boat parade and the Lake Union/Gasworks boat parade? Do people come over from the Eastside with their bigger, more likely fancier boats than all the smaller crafts on the smaller lake?
