Does the game really get that much better with friends?

Hey guys, i've been playing sea of thieves for a bit (90ish hours in total) and got a bit bored of it.
Considering that my friends are looking for a new game to play i thought about recommending them Sea of Thieves bc i think it's a fun game (especially the first 20-40 hours) and bc i heard the game gets way more fun with people to play with.
So here i am, asking if any of you guys can tell me if the game really gets more fun with friends and prevents burnout?
