So I've recently decided that I'm going to join the SeaBees and that I'm going to be a equiptment operator.
I don't really have any questions so don't feel obligated to answer this oh, but I would like to know what it's like to be a equipment operator, what training do you get at a school, and what is it like day to day in the Navy?
Cross rated to EO in 16. Training is heavy. Up at 5 everyday mon-friday. Out at phase training (operation training) from 8-1600. You will k send basics of loaders, excavators, Dozer’s, graders, scrapers, Dino trucks. Form lifts. When I was there a school was pretty strict but I have heard they have let up a bit. Enjoy it Leonard Wood is boring not much to do really.
Wake up at 0500 everyday during the week. Do PT and eat then head to phase training (when you learnt he equipment) each type of equipment is one day in class two in field operating them. You will be in class with army and Air Force counter parts. Training is just basic operation of the equipment. Dig a hole this big, smooth a path this long, etc

Boring to be honest. You don’t get a lot of free time (at least when I was there) Liberty was from 18300-2000 during the week. Almost like a diet boot camp. It won’t be as bad for you cuz you will be coming right out of boot, I was an E5 with ten years in when I went so I hated it
