We are looking to hire a front end/iOS savvy developer to work with us on a short term (2-3 months) engagement helping us build a new client app.
We are a small team of UX designers and developers but could use an extra hand; it would be IDEAL if you can work with a back end built (by our own developer in django/python, Rest Api, Json.
Also, you will need to have experience working with maps on mobile and push notification implementations.
While we canāt say the specifics, hypothetically the app is fairly simple in nature; it would allow users to quickly open and geotag a current location (push of a button) which would then push that location out to other users. Letās say users want to know how close they are to āIce cream trucksā in their area, specifically whenever they are within half a mile of an ice cream truck. If user A sees the ice cream truck, they can tag their current location and when user B is passing nearby they would get a push notification that their is an ice cream truck nearby.
Thatās the extent of it- later iterations would have the tags expire after a few hours or, in the case of multiple tags, accumulate to show hotspots.
You will get all the finished UI designs, etc (most likely in Photoshop CC) and you must be able to make everything come alive as well as connect all the pieces with the backend. Fairly straightforward, just trying to be clear on what we expect.
Clear communication is a MUST, as well as timely responses and some availability to meet up to test/brainstorm, both in person or over Skype.
We donāt care if you have a day job, just try and get back to us regularly if we have an urgent request or need an update, otherwise work your own hours, work from home, etc
Please send us examples of your best work. Weāre looking for clean, responsive and lightweight implementation, as well as what your rates would look like for a project like this. Hourly is ok, prefer for the entire project. Ball park is also totally ok.
three things to include in your reply:
1 - Are you good? (quick summary of experience/ tell us in a few sentences what you can do/ professional experience)
2 - Are you for real? (either a link to a portfolio or some evidence of your work)
3 - Are you cool? (tell me something cool about you. or weird. or be funny. we aren't robots and don't want robots)
