Hello
I like carving stone small statues. I worked with alabaster and now marble. As they are small (max 24 cm tall figurative body statues), it's difficult to fix the little block so I can hit it with a hammer and chisel. I do have a proxxon and a dremel both with flex shafts but will use them for details and polishing.
I suppose being able to hold the block of stone with one hand and have an air hammer removing the larger parts, would be a good idea (?). The Picchio hammer is too expensive for me (Im not in the USA, offer is limited here). I did find a Kirmax handheld air hammer, looks like a small gun. I never could find the info about the air compressor that would power that. On Amazon I found Stanley 100/8/6 Silent Air Compressor DST 100/8/6SI, 750 W but again, cant figure if it'll work with the hammer itself. How can one match these things?
Sorry for the long story, I needed to explain my question. Any tips on how to find an answer, much appreciated!
